Beauty Detox Solutions

I bought this book because it was recommended by a co worker who's body transformation still shocks me! So I decided why not, and see for myself? I don't want to preach to anyone how to eat or when to eat etc, but this book makes A LOT of sense.

She doesn't tell people to diet or starve yourself, she begins by explaining physiology of the human body and chemistry. There is more to digestion than people think. Much of what she says is so interesting. Each chapter has something new to say. I feel educated chapter by chapter.

That being said, I am not going to follow it completely, because there will always be some cheat days, but I'll follow the basics. I tried it last week and dropped 2lbs and felt lighter and less bloated.

Little things like:

-Don't eat right when you wake up. Its the ONLY time of the day when your body can take a break from digestion (which consumes our fuel). This is the time for rest AND for elimination of toxins and waste. So wake up. Have a hot water with lemon. Don't rush into the fridge because you've heard breakfast is the most important meal of the day.

-Start your empty tummy with a fruit of some sort. Fruits take the least amount of time to digest: 20 min!

-Lunches should be greens, so have a salad for lunch or a green smoothie.

-DO NOT mix starches with proteins (especially meat). Starches require an amylase protein to break down. Proteins require acid to break down. Them two meet and a neutral reaction occurs, so MORE enzymes are released consuming so much of the body's energy & fuel. As much as I love eating meat & potatoes or a burger on a bun, I am done for the day after consuming that. IF you do want to eat meat, eat it at the end of day, because animal protein can take up to 48 hrs to digest. Crazy? No. First it must pass through stomach then into over 30 feet of intestines where its dark.. and hot. Recipe for putrefaction! But before anyone starts questioning me, of course I won't become a complete vegetarian. It's not in my genes :-p But we'll see.

That's just the iceberg. Makes so much sense. Not for everyone. But we will see how it works out for me :D
